Background

History

The Minitron is known for its compactness and small size - at just larger than the pilot whom fits within the cocoon like cockpit. The designers have tried to minimise the required controls and as such, most of the controls are located on keypads located at wrist height.

Piloting a Mech from inside a Minitron takes practice, as the controls are often said to be "non-standard" and a great many Pilots refuse to clamber into a Minitron due of claustrophobia.

Key Features

The Cockpits small form factor makes it a more difficult target to hit, and the curved surfaces allow it to displace the energy of incoming attacks, although the armour itself is considerably thinner than most contemporary cockpit designs although this does make it exceptionally light compared to other Cockpits - often considered a boon when building a fast recon Mech.
