Part Background

Overview

Originally designed to penetrate sheer rock faces beneath the surface of Techniconica, deep in the mines. They saw minor actions across Techniconica during the Mining Wars between District Raglor and District Sherran when the mining Mechs were pressed into service as make-shift informal "mining militias" designed to protect their parent Districts interests.

The Drill Ram Arm itself uses a high-pressure hydraulic ram to force a spinning multi-faceted drill into the enemy. These surface-mounted drill heads are work-hardened, sharpened diamond covered drill heads, designed to cut through rocks with impunity. Against armour, they are just as effective.
