Designing The Game Rules

Techniconica is designed to be fast to play and be easily picked up and played by players whilst offering a depth of play.

I have been busy working on the game rules and developing them to point I feel I have achieved the goals stated before.

The game rules will still under go further development although they are at the point they are fairly stable and the changes will merely be there to tighten up the rules and clarify the rules so that are clear and easily understood.

The moment, I am writing up the special rules which should be the definitive set of rules for the foreseeable future.

The initial play testing is also going well and has resulted in several changes that I hope will be for the better.

One example is the way the cards "attach" to each other. Initially we were just putting then side by side but thus caused a little confusion so we started putting then on top - this lead us to re design the card layouts to leverage thia change. Now all the stats and vital info are on the left hand side so they can seen with another card on top - a change for the better if you ask me.

Tips Tactica Power Plants

Power Plants are important for any Mech, as they provide power for the various parts and without them, your Mech is completely useless!Plants themselves are typically heavy items (usually with a Weight of 2 or more) and they vary from Armour 3 to 6 (for the Trinity Power Plant) so have fairly average Armour across the board.
