Vulcan Cannon Part Card
This is a premium Techniconica Part Card which will enable you to play the game of Techniconica or expand your existing collection of Part.
Each card is printed on thick card stock and should, with care, last a long time and serve you well in your battles!
Each Card represents a single piece of a Mech and each card does a specific job for your Mech. Power Plants generate power, Cockpits house the pilot, Weapons are used to fight with and Locomotors are used to give your Mechs mobility.
This part is a Weapon type card and is used to attack other Mechs with and hopefully deal some damage to them. Afterall, without a weapon, a Mech is little more than a moving target to be attacked and destroyed with impunity.

The Vulcan Cannon started out as a close defence weapon for Mechs, utilising much smaller ammo. They served quiet well against unarmoured bandits and raiders, although eventually, pilots begun to use them against lightly armoured enemy Mechs with some success.
Over the years, the cannon was refined to become the weapon it is today, useful for light to medium armoured Mechs.
Today, the weapon is manufactured under license from various different manufacturers whom have obtained licenses from Bosc International to produce the weapon in varying quantities and each successive manufacturer adds their own 'spin' on the weapon with differing mechanical implementations whilst keeping the technical details within the tolerances of the license specification.
The Vulcan Cannon relies on it's extremely large rate of fire to overcome armour - with a rate of fire of 1,150 rounds per minute. Although each individual shell isn't particularly heavy, the high velocity and rate of fire mean that that the Vulcan Cannon can pierce moderate thicknesses of armour with relative ease through repetitive impacts.
Mechs which uses the Vulcan Cannon have to have large ammo supplies - most Mechs carry enough ammo to fire the Vulcan Cannon for on average of 3 seconds before the ammo stores are depleted, although in most engagements, this is more than enough to destroy the opposition.
Although the weapon licenses specify the technical details of the weapon, there are a few black market versions available with increased calibres using non-standard ammo, although these are only bought by rookie pilots whom then find purchasing ammos in the necessary quantities difficult if not impossible.
